First-pass myocardial stress perfusion MRI using k-t BLAST at an open MR-system: initial results in comparison to FFR measurements

چکیده
Background First-pass myocardial stress perfusion MR imaging (MRI) is routinely used for the detection of myocardial ischemia in patients with suspected or known coronary artery disease (CAD). Up to now, cardiac MRI stress testing had to be performed in a closed bore environment. To allow for MR stress perfusion in claustrophobic patients and to improve monitoring during stress examination and in critically ill patients an open MR platform seems desirable. Recently, an open 1.0T MRsystem with high gradient performance has been introduced, which may allow for first-pass myocardial stress perfusion in combination with fast data acquisition techniques such as k-t BLAST. Therefore, the aim of our study was to evaluate 1) feasibility of adenosine stress perfusion (ASP) MRI using k-t

Gadolinium-Free Cardiac MR Stress T1-Mapping to Distinguish Epicardial From Microvascular Coronary Disease
BACKGROUND Novel cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) stress T1 mapping can detect ischemia and myocardial blood volume changes without contrast agents and may be a more comprehensive ischemia biomarker than myocardial blood flow. OBJECTIVES This study describes the performance of the first prospective validation of stress T1 mapping against invasive coronary measurements for detecting obstructiv...
متن کاملFirst-Pass Contrast-Enhanced Myocardial Perfusion MRI in Mice on a 3-T Clinical MR Scanner
First-pass contrast-enhanced myocardial perfusion MRI in rodents has so far not been possible due to the temporal and spatial resolution requirements. We developed a new first-pass perfusion MR method for rodent imaging on a clinical 3.0-T scanner (Philips Healthcare, Best, The Netherlands) that employed 10-fold k-space and time domain undersampling with constrained image reconstruction, using ...
متن کاملPerfusion Phantom: An Efficient and Reproducible Method to Simulate Myocardial First-Pass Perfusion Measurements with Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance
The aim of this article is to describe a novel hardware perfusion phantom that simulates myocardial first-pass perfusion allowing comparisons between different MR techniques and validation of the results against a true gold standard. MR perfusion images were acquired at different myocardial perfusion rates and variable doses of gadolinium and cardiac output. The system proved to be sensitive to...
متن کاملSemi-quantitative segmental perfusion scoring in myocardial perfusion SPECT: visual vs. automated analysis
Introduction: It is recommended that the physician apply at least a semi-quantitative segmental scoring system in myocardial perfusion SPECT. We aimed to assess the agreement between automated semi-quantitative analysis using QPS (quantitative Perfusion SPECT) software and visual approach for calculation of summed stress score (SSS), summed rest score (SRS) and summed difference score (SDS). ...
متن کاملNonlinear myocardial signal intensity correction improves quantification of contrast-enhanced first-pass MR perfusion in humans.
PURPOSE To study the nonlinearity of myocardial signal intensity and gadolinium contrast concentration during first-pass perfusion MRI, and to compare quantitative perfusion estimates using nonlinear myocardial signal intensity correction. MATERIALS AND METHODS The nonlinearity of signal intensity and contrast concentration was simulated by magnetization modeling and evaluated in phantom meas...
